Roblox Parental Controls: Android

If you don't have one, go to roblox.com and create an account with your email address. Enter your real birthdate — Roblox uses this to confirm you're the parent, not the child.

On your child's Android phone or tablet, open the Roblox app and log into their account. Tap the three horizontal lines (☰) or the gear icon at the bottom right, then tap Settings.

In Settings, tap Parental Controls, then tap "Link Parent Account." Roblox will send a verification email to your parent account email address. Open that email and confirm the link.

Roblox requires a one-time identity verification for full parental control access. You can use a credit/debit card ($0 authorization — nothing is charged) or a government ID. This proves you are a parent or guardian.

From your own phone, open Roblox > Settings > Parental Controls > tap your child's linked account. Set content maturity: Minimal for ages 5-8 (very restricted game library), Mild for ages 9-12, or Moderate for ages 13-15 (the default for age-verified accounts).

Under Communication settings, choose who can contact your child: Everyone, Friends Only, or Off. For children under 13, set to Friends Only or Off. You can also block all friend requests from non-friends.

In Parental Controls > Screen Time, set a daily play limit. In Spending Controls, set a monthly Robux spending cap and turn on purchase notifications. Recommended: $0 monthly limit unless you want to manually approve purchases.

Install the Google Family Link app on YOUR phone from the Play Store. On your child's Android, install the Family Link companion app. Follow setup to link accounts. Once linked, you can: set screen time limits by app, approve or block app downloads, see your child's location, and get weekly activity reports.
