Is Fisch Safe for Kids? A Parent’s Review (2026)

Fisch is a calm, oddly addictive fishing and ocean-exploration game that became one of Roblox’s biggest experiences. Compared to the chaos of many popular games, it’s refreshingly chill — but there are still a couple of things worth knowing before your child dives in.

What Is Fisch?

You fish. That’s the heart of it — cast into rivers, lakes, and the deep sea, catch progressively rarer species, upgrade your rod, and explore a big open world. It’s relaxed and goal-driven rather than competitive or violent, which is a big part of why parents tend to like it.

What to Watch

  • Chat and trading — players trade catches and items, and trading is where the occasional scam attempt shows up.
  • In-game purchases — optional gear and passes that speed up progress.
  • Time — the “one more rare fish” loop is genuinely hard to put down.

The deep-sea areas include some large creatures, but the art is cartoonish and there’s nothing gory or frightening. It reads as adventure, not horror.

Recommended Settings

  • Chat on Friends or Off for younger kids.
  • A monthly spend limit so upgrades don’t become a money sink.
  • A quick talk about trade scams: “never trade for a promise — only for what you can see.”

What Age Is It Right For?

Great for about 7 and up. The gameplay is gentle and the pace is calm, so even younger kids do well with chat off. The main thing to manage is trading, not content.

Verdict

Safe & relaxing, ages 7+

Fisch is one of the more wholesome big Roblox games — calm, creative, and non-violent. Restrict chat, set a spend limit, and warn about trade scams, and it’s a lovely low-stress pick.
