A “Roblox parent account” isn’t a separate product — it’s your own Roblox account, linked to your child’s as a verified parent or guardian. Once connected, you get a controls dashboard and can lock the settings so your child can’t change them back. Here’s how to set it up in a few minutes.
Step 1 — Create Your Own Roblox Account
If you don’t already have one, sign up for a Roblox account with your real adult birthdate. This is the account you’ll attach to your child’s as the parent — using your true age is what unlocks the parental controls.
Step 2 — Open Your Child’s Parental Controls
Sign in to your child’s account, go to Settings → Parental Controls, and choose to add a parent or guardian. Enter your email (or link your parent account). Roblox will send a verification step to confirm you’re the adult.
Step 3 — Verify You’re the Parent
Complete the verification Roblox prompts — usually confirming your email and, in some regions, a quick ID or age check. This links your account as the verified guardian and gives you the controls dashboard for your child’s account.
Step 4 — Set Your Limits
- ✓Content Maturity — Minimal or Mild for younger kids.
- ✓Chat — Friends or Off.
- ✓Monthly spend limit — set it (even $0).
- ✓Screen-time limits — if you want daily caps.
Step 5 — Lock It With a Parent PIN
This is the step that makes a parent account worth having: turn on the Account/Parent PIN so none of your settings can be changed without your four-digit code. Without it, a curious kid can undo everything in seconds.
One parent account can be linked to more than one child. Repeat Steps 2–5 on each child’s account to manage the whole family from your dashboard.
