Managing Multiple Kids’ Roblox Accounts: A Sibling Setup Guide

Once you have more than one child on Roblox, the setup gets more complicated: different ages need different settings, devices often get shared, and it’s easy for a younger sibling to end up using an older sibling’s looser account by accident. Here’s how to keep it organized.

Why Each Child Needs Their Own Account

Roblox’s age-based defaults — content maturity, chat availability, and friend request handling — are tied to the birthdate on each individual account. Sharing one account between siblings of different ages means one of them is either over- or under-restricted. Each child should have their own account registered with their real birthdate.

Keeping Accounts Separate on a Shared Device

If siblings share a tablet, computer, or console, make sure each child logs out fully when they’re done rather than leaving the app signed in. Where the device supports it, giving each child their own device user profile (a separate Windows, Mac, or tablet login) helps keep saved logins, browser history, and settings from bleeding between them.

Linking Multiple Children to One Parent Account

Roblox’s parental controls generally support linking and managing more than one child account from a single parent account. Set each child up individually rather than copying the oldest child’s settings across the board — a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old shouldn’t have identical chat, content, or spending settings just because they share a household.

Common Sibling Pitfalls

  • ✓An older sibling loosens their own settings for a specific game, then forgets to tighten them back — check in periodically, not just once.
  • ✓A younger sibling gets logged into an older sibling’s account "just this once" for convenience, bypassing their own age-appropriate defaults.
  • ✓One shared payment method on a device makes it hard to tell which child made a purchase — set a spending limit on each individual account.
  • ✓Friends lists get mixed up when siblings play together on one screen but under separate logins — make sure friend requests are reviewed per account.

It’s worth a five-minute "settings check" with each child individually every so often — what’s right for one sibling usually isn’t right for another.
